TieLoop – Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-06-16

COLLECTION & USE

1. Overview

TieLoop is a private personal CRM for the relationships that matter. It helps you organize contacts, shared activities, anniversaries, money records, locations, relationship context, and personal card sharing in one local-first app.

TieLoop does not require an account for the core experience. By default, your relationship data is stored on your iPhone. Data leaves the device only when you choose a system feature that requires it, such as enabling iCloud sync, generating an iCloud contact-card link, exporting or sharing a card file, or sending data through a nearby transfer.

The app privacy manifest currently declares no developer-collected data, no tracking, and no tracking domains.

2. What data TieLoop processes

Depending on the features you use, TieLoop may process:

  • Contact names, nicknames, companies, roles, groups, tags, notes, and relationship types
  • Birthdays, anniversaries, reminders, and follow-up context
  • Shared activities, activity participants, dates, places, photos, and notes
  • Money records such as gifts, loans, repayments, open balances, and settlement status
  • Location fields and map-related places you add to contacts or activities
  • Personal card content, card designs, exported card files, QR codes, nearby transfer sessions, and iCloud-link sharing payloads
  • App preferences, Pro entitlement state, iCloud sync state, and local security settings

This information is used only to provide TieLoop’s relationship-management features, including the dashboard, contact detail pages, relationship graph, map view, reminders, money-record summaries, personal card sharing, local lock screen, and optional iCloud sync.

3. Local-first storage and optional iCloud sync

TieLoop is local-first:

  • Core relationship data is stored in the app sandbox on your device
  • Face ID protection uses local device authentication and does not collect biometric data
  • Notifications are scheduled for relationship reminders and are not sent to our servers
  • If you do not enable iCloud sync, your relationship database remains local to the device

If you enable iCloud sync, selected app data is synced through your own Apple account using Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure. iPocket does not operate a separate relationship-data account service for TieLoop.

4. Contact card sharing

TieLoop lets you create and share a personal card. Sharing is always initiated by you.

Depending on the sharing path, the app may:

  • Generate a QR code or App Clip entry point for a card or nearby transfer
  • Send a card over a nearby local connection
  • Export a card file that you choose where to send or save
  • Create an iCloud-backed share link for supported card-sharing flows

Once you send a card file, share a link, or transfer a card to another person, their copy is no longer controlled by TieLoop on your device.

5. Permissions

TieLoop asks for system permissions only when you start a feature that needs them:

  • Contacts: import or link system contacts
  • Location: show nearby contacts or activity places on the map
  • Camera: photograph a card or scan a card code
  • Photos: choose avatars, activity images, or business-card images
  • Local Network: transfer contact cards to nearby devices
  • Motion: support tilt-based visual effects in activity bubbles
  • Notifications: remind you about anniversaries, activities, money records, and relationship follow-ups
  • Face ID: lock and unlock private relationship data locally

You can decline permissions or revoke them later in iOS Settings. Some related features may be unavailable after permission is declined.

6. Pro purchase

TieLoop offers optional Pro access for unlimited contacts and iCloud sync. Purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

iPocket does not receive your complete payment details, such as card numbers or Apple account credentials. The app uses purchase and entitlement status only to unlock Pro features and restore access.

7. Data security

TieLoop relies on iOS protections for local data security, including app sandboxing, system storage protections, and device authentication. You can also enable Face ID or device passcode protection for private relationship data inside the app.

The security of synced data depends on Apple’s iCloud protections and your Apple account security. The security of exported or shared card data depends on the destination and people you choose to share with.

8. Your choices

You can:

  • Use TieLoop locally without creating an account
  • Keep iCloud sync turned off
  • Decline or revoke optional system permissions
  • Delete contacts, activities, reminders, money records, and cards in the app
  • Manage iCloud data through Apple account and iCloud settings
  • Manage Pro subscriptions or purchases through your Apple account
  • Remove the app to delete local app data from the device

9. Children’s privacy

TieLoop is not designed specifically for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe there has been inappropriate data handling, please contact us.

10. Policy updates

If this privacy policy changes in a material way, we may describe that change through app updates, website updates, or another appropriate notice. The updated policy becomes effective on the date it is published.

11. Contact
