Privacy policy
Fonode
1. Scope
This policy applies to Fonode for iPhone and iPad. It describes practice records, local preferences, optional iCloud sync, reminders, Pro purchases, results sharing and support requests.
Fonode requires no product account and includes no ads, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. Core practice works offline. The app does not automatically upload practice records or usage events to an iPocket server.
Visiting this website is separate from using the native app. Website hosting, traffic measurements and cookie choices are covered by the iPocket website privacy policy. Website analytics do not read the app’s training database.
2. Practice data and preferences on your device
Fonode stores training plans, games and levels, scores, accuracy, completion time, error counts, practice modes, dates, progress and configurations used to repeat the same tasks. The database can also contain local training-flow events and related metadata for app state; these records are not uploaded by an analytics SDK.
Preferences such as sound, haptics, color assistance, timer visibility, onboarding status and reminder settings are also stored on the device. These records let the app provide practice, adjust each game’s difficulty, show personal trends and remember your choices.
Local storage does not exclude system backups. Your device and iCloud backup settings may include some app data in a backup. System backup is separate from the optional training database synchronization described below.
3. Optional iCloud synchronization
The app uses a local database by default. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, Apple’s CloudKit synchronizes records in the training database through the private database for your own Apple Account. You do not provide your Apple Account password to iPocket.
When you turn sync on or off, Fonode first merges local and cloud database snapshots. Turning sync off retains existing cloud copies; it does not delete them. Use the data deletion options in Settings when you want to remove records.
Reminder preferences, scheduling state and local suggestion state are not part of the training database’s CloudKit synchronization, although system backups may include them. Apple handles iCloud transmission, storage, accounts and backups under its own terms and privacy policy. Synchronization depends on your account, connection and system state.
4. Local reminders and notification permission
The app requests notification permission only when you choose to enable practice reminders. You can select smart or fixed daily reminders, choose a time, or turn them off.
Reminder calculations run on the device and notifications are scheduled with the operating system. They do not use an iPocket remote push server. Smart mode can use local practice completion times to suggest a reminder time; the time changes only if you accept. Local scheduling records also include dates, time zone, completion state and suggestion cooldowns.
Turn reminders off in Fonode Settings or revoke notification permission in system settings. Turning reminders off does not erase training history, and deleting training data does not reset every preference. System Focus modes and notification settings can affect delivery and display.
5. Pro purchases and Apple services
Fonode Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. Apple’s App Store and StoreKit handle payment, transaction records and purchase restoration. The app reads product information and verifies purchase entitlements to unlock Pro features.
iPocket does not receive your full payment card details or Apple Account password. Apple may provide sales or transaction reports to developers under its services. Deleting training data or the app does not erase Apple’s purchase records or automatically issue a refund.
6. Sharing and support you initiate
Results cards are generated on your device. A summary is handed to your chosen service or recipient only after you choose Share Image and a destination in the system share sheet. Saved, sent or separately backed-up images are managed by you and those services.
If you email contact@ipocket.xyz or submit the website contact form, iPocket and the relevant email or form services receive the contact details, message, attachments and problem information you provide, to respond to your request. Include only information you want support staff to see.
Support information is retained as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal or security requirements. Contact the address above to request access, correction or deletion of support information held by iPocket. Training records that exist only on your device or in your private iCloud database are managed through the app and Apple’s available controls.
7. Deletion and your choices
In Settings, choose Delete Training Data and select one of these options:
- Delete the currently active data: Removes training records from the active local or iCloud database.
- Delete local and iCloud copies: Removes records from both training databases managed by the app. Cloud deletion requires iCloud synchronization to complete.
These actions do not reset all preferences or recall images and support messages you have already shared. Turning sync off does not delete existing cloud copies. Deleting the app and its data removes local app files, but removing only its Home Screen icon, offloading while retaining data, system backups or copies on other devices can preserve or restore some records.
You can use offline practice without enabling iCloud, allowing notifications, buying Pro, sharing results or contacting support.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its effective date if our data handling changes materially.
